Ecological Initiative of Chania

Our trainers are members of the Ecological Initiative of Chania, a corporation which was founded in November 1989, initially as an informal group of citizens in Chania, and continues its activities uninterrupted to this day.
In June 1997, it acquired legal status as an ecological association. It is the longest-running ecological group in Crete, with a wide range of interventions concerning not only local environmental issues, but also issues of regional, national, and global significance. It also addresses issues related to the human environment, culture, and society.
