Welcome to our course!
Our Erasmus+ training course invites educators, school leaders and professionals to explore innovative ways of integrating ecology, sustainability and climate education into their teaching practice.
Through hands-on workshops, collaborative learning and real-world environmental experiences in the unique natural setting of Chania, participants will deepen their understanding of ecological challenges while developing practical tools to foster environmental awareness in their schools and communities.
Aim of the course
The aim of the Course is to help participants understand main points of the
Ecological and Climate Crisis we are facing and plan teaching and learning
activities using digital tools, pedagogical methods and techniques in order to
enable action for environmental protection.
Expected results
By the end of this Course, participants are expected to:
- Recall icebreaking activities
- Acquire basic knowledge about Greek Language and Culture
- Learn about the History of Environmental Education
- Be informed about Environmental Education in Greece
- Climate and ecological crisis
- Environment, culture and monuments
- Practice outdoor environmental education activities in the city and
nature
- Introduced to basic pedagogical methods and techniques used for
Environmental Education
- Discover digital pedagogical tools for teaching and learning about the
Climate and Environment
- Use Digital Tools to create an E-Book and/or newspaper
- Have created their own teaching and learning scenario for
Environmental Education
- Plan hands-on workshops
- Appreciate the value of working in groups and in multicultural settings
- Value the importance of active citizens for the protection of the
environment
